For the 1st law we will say what the law is then perform an example were we hold a glass of water and realize that the water is still and will not move. But when we start to apply force or accelerate the cup the water will want to move or spill out of the glass. Then after this we will pause the video and explain how the law applies to this example. The next example that we will perform is playing catch with a football. The acceleration of the ball can changed based off of how much force you put into the throwing motion of the football. The mass of the football is not changing so a greater force will cause a greater acceleration and a weaker force will result in less acceleration. Then we will explain what happened in this video that relates to the video clip. Then we will punt a football barefoot and show how the football moves forward based on the amount of force is exerted on it at the exact same time that amount of force is pushed back onto your foot this is how injuries happen. then we will explain how the law relates to this video clip.
There will be a picture of Sir isaac Newton then while that image is up we will discuss some brief facts about his life. Then on the next picture we will discuss some of his achievments and what the 3 laws are. Then we will have a picture of the Philosophy Naturalis Principia Mathematica which is where Newtons laws were introduced to the public. Then there will be a picture of Cambridge College we will explain the degrees that Newton achieved while he was there.
Website of laws and equations.
This website has an interactive for each of the 3 laws. We will watch the first interactive and then discuss what happened in the interactive what the law is and the vocabulary related with that law. We will do the same for the next two laws. http://science.discovery.com/interactives/literacy/newton/newton.html
